Singapore Airlines Launches 'Capital Express' Route in Canberra

#

Singapore Airlines officially launched its 'Capital Express' service which will run 4 times a week from Canberra to Wellington. This is a significant milestone for both cities as they expand their international reach and will likely bring a range of benefits in terms of trade, investment and tourism.

The airline will fly from Singapore's Changi airport to Wellington with a stopover in the Australian capital, making it the first regular route to depart from Canberra airport in more than a decade.

“We are excited about the prospects for our new ‘Capital Express’ route, which we are confident will appeal to leisure, government and corporate travellers. We are especially pleased to be bringing more convenient travel options to customers with Canberra’s first regularly scheduled international flights and the first non-stop links between the capitals of Australia and New Zealand” said Singapore Airlines CEO, Mr Goh Choon Phong.
