AustCham Shanghai is led by a team at the Secretariat who look after the day-to-day operations of the Chamber. The Chamber has 4 departments across Membership, Project & Event, Marketing & Communications and Finance & Administration.
CEO and Executive Director
Simon Woods is the CEO and Executive Director of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AustCham Shanghai). He leads the secretariate in all matters to provide value to members of the Chamber and broader Chinese-Australian communities.
Simon has lived and worked in Shanghai since 2016, and brings a wealth of operational, China and global management experience. Prior to his time in China, Simon resided in Australia, where he developed a diverse range of knowledge across industries including logistics, FMCG, security and finance.
Simon utilises his broad range of industry, global management, and China-Australia experience to ensure a strong strategic direction for AustCham Shanghai that maximises member value, encourages and strengthens relationships, and develops inproved understanding of China and Australia.
Senior Relationship Manager
Judy Zhu is a Senior Relationship Manager at AustCham Shanghai and works with members to further their business interests by ensuring they have access to all the networking, support, advocacy and services that the Chamber provides.
Judy had been employed as the Director of Business Development for Government of Western Australian Trade and Investment Office in China for over 14 years prior to her joining AustCham Shanghai. She also worked as a Senior Student and Policy Adviser at a VET in Brisbane, and operated her own education and tourism business in Sydney after graduating from the university.
Judy obtained a Master of Commerce degree from Macquarie university.
Relationship Manager
Jessica Wang is a Relationship Manager at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Jessica is responsible for the administrative support tasks of the membership team as well as providing client support on business connection, market updates and networking opportunities.
Jessica holds a Master's Degree of Commerce specializing in marketing and business analytics from the University of Sydney.

Project & Event Manager
Miley Yin is the Project & Event Manager at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Miley works closely with members and the community to coordinate business delegations and key projects and arranges professional development training programs. As a member of the newest department of the Chamber, Miley is also involved in event management and the China HQ Program.
Miley holds a master degree of Arts in English (Education/TESOL) from University of Southampton.
Event Associate
Jessica Chen is an Event Associate at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Jessica works closely with the Projects & Events Manager and Relationship Managers to implement well-balanced, high-caliber, year-round events as well as building relationships and work with members and stakeholders to execute event goals.
Jessica Chen holds a master’s degree of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) from Zhejiang Sci-tech University.
Marketing & Communications Manager
Emily Wang holds an important role as the Marketing & Communications Manager at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Emily reports directly to the CEO and collaborates closely with the Membership, Event and Project teams to manage the Chamber's communications platforms, encompassing social media, video channels, the website, Mini Program, and email distribution. Her responsibilities also include the development and implementation of marketing strategies, activities, and marketing materials. Furthermore, Emily is responsible for managing all advertising activities of the Chamber through online channels and liaising with media organizations and individuals to position the Chamber and its member companies.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Emily garnered valuable experience in marketing and digital media across various industries, including FMCG, F&B, and Lifestyle sectors. This professional background has provided her with a deep understanding of both Chinese and Western culture and aesthetics. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese (Education/TCSL) from Shanghai University.

Finance Manager
Judy Shen supports financial matters and general office administration tasks. Previous to joining AustCham Shanghai, Judy was a project assistant for a local shipping company. Judy has a maritime law degree from Shanghai Maritime University.

Financial and Admin Assistant
Katrina Zhong is the Financial and Admin Assistant at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, she provides support to financial matters and general office administration tasks.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Katrina worked as accountant assistant for an international trading company in New Zealand. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Auckland University of Technology.
