Gina Rinehart Joins Shanghai CRED in Kidman Bid
Gina Rinehart and Chinese real estate conglomerate Shanghai CRED have agreed to make a joint $365 million bid for Australia's giant cattle station S Kidman & Co, both parties officially announced on Sunday.
S Kidman & Co is one of the country's largest beef producers, with pastorial leases covering over 100,000 square kilometres (roughly the size of South Korea).
If approved, Mrs Rinehart's Hancock Prospecting would own two-thirds of the cattle stations, while Shanghai CRED would own a third.
