Austrade's recently released The China aged care industry report – the guide for
Australian businesses outlines numerous
opportunities available to Australian businesses in China's health
and aged care sector, due to the country's rapidly growing middle
class.
With 248 million people over 60 projected to be living in China by 2020 and a demand for higher quality services in the sector, Australian businesses who find the right partner and enter the market with a long-term plan can find real success in China, says Anna Lin, Austrade's Trade Commissioner in Guangzhou. Key areas where Australian expertise would be of use are facility design and operation, workforce skills development and training and smart health.
