2017 is set to be another record-breaking year for the Australian tourism industry, as Chinese citizens now have the opportunity to apply for a brand new 10-year ‘Frequent Traveller’ Visitor visa.

According to a statement published by the Australian Embassy in China, a trial of the new visa (subclass 600) has just started on Monday 12 December, allowing Chinese visitors to stay in Australia for up to three months per visit, with multiple entries permitted.

Chinese passport holders are now able to lodge visitor visa applications in Chinese through a new online service for a AUD1,000 fee.
