Lutheran Education Queensland (LEQ) is the system authority and secretariat supporting and overseeing the 26 schools and 62 Early Childhood Services belonging to the Lutheran Church in Queensland. Those schools and services are found right across Queensland, providing Christ-centred education and care of excellence to children and students in their communities.

The 26 schools have enrolled over 16,000 students and employ over 1,000 teachers with many more support staff. Those schools range in size from more than 2,000 students to just over 100. They are located throughout Queensland.

The Lutheran Church has a long history of service to Queensland through education with the first schools being opened in the mid-1800s. Queensland’s first Lutheran school was at Mission Hill (present day Nundah), opening in the late 1830’s.

Lutheran schools are all co-educational, and aim to be both accessible and affordable. They have a diverse student population with children of all faiths and denominations within their population.
