Events and Catering Manager

The Events and Catering Manager will provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with internal and external clients. Reports to Director of Operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive sales through proactive outreach to the community and area businesses and organizations, to book corporate events, luncheons, and other special events
  • Respond to daily inquiries, scheduling venue tours, contract negotiations and contract signings.
  • Work with Chef team to define and provide our prospective customers great menu options and work with the restaurant teams on location and drink options.
  • Negotiate contracts and book our event spaces, establish dates and alternate dates, order supplies and audiovisual equipment, acquire permits, coordinate location support (such as electricity and other utilities), tables, chairs, tents, event support and security, catering, police, fire, etc as needed.
  • Demonstrate your sales manager expertise to complete event proposals, negotiate large events.
  • Work with our restaurant teams to create memorable guests experiences by maintain guest focus while driving improvement and guest satisfaction.
  • Build relationships within the communities we support.
  • Attending outside networking events as the venue representative as often as possible.

  9. Highly organized, flexible, and have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects with tight deadlines
  10. Strong budgetary and project management skills.
