Webinar | Federal Government Economic Stimulus Package Explainer

#

Along with relief packages from states and territories, the Federal Government has released a significant economic stimulus package, with more potentially on the way.

Aimed at saving businesses and jobs as the world continues to reel from the impact of a global pandemic, lawmakers passed the Coronavirus Economic Response Package Omnibus Bill 2020. The package contains a number of significant tax concessions and liquidity measures designed to stimulate investment and ease pressure on the economy

The JobKeeper Package as passed by the Parliament this week represents an unprecedented $130billion scheme aimed at keeping employees of Australian businesses employed. The scheme provides $1500 per fortnight for each eligible employee. The scheme has been hastily developed to ensure payments can be delivered to affected businesses, and their employees quickly.

To find out how these measures apply to you and your business, which businesses are eligible for the JobSeeker Payment and the applicatoin process, join the Chamber webinar on Thursday 23 April with Matt Birrell and James Ye, Partners of ShineWing Australia.
