This year, AustCham Shanghai is proudly partnering with the Shanghai Grand Theatre, who is producing and bringing you the ballet dance drama "White Snake", a well-known legend in China and even in the Asia-Pacific region, which has been widely disseminated in different forms of art such as theater, musicals, cinema, and television series on the stage and screen for centuries.
The show includes an all-star cast consisting of the Chinese principal dancers of mainstream ballet companies in China, Australia, the UK, and the US, including lead performer and artistic director Tan Yuanyuan and top Chinese artists such as scriptwriter Luo Zhou, choreographer Edward Liang, musician Xu Zhong, and designer Gao Guangjian.
The show will be one of a series of events to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia in early December and will stage in several Australian cities later next year. A signing ceremony, master classes, and other events will also be held with the Ballet Theatre of Queensland this year.
The premiere coincides with CIIE, aligning to AustCham Shanghai’s FMCG Showcase, being held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre.
今年，澳大利亚商会-上海很荣幸与上海大剧院合作，为您带来芭蕾舞剧《白蛇》。该剧取材于在中国乃至亚太地区家喻户晓的神话《白蛇传》，数世纪以来以戏剧、音乐剧、电影、电视剧等不同形式在舞台和银幕上广为流传。
该舞剧汇聚了来自澳大利亚、英国和美国著名芭蕾舞团的首席舞者，全明星阵容，其中包括首席芭蕾舞演员兼艺术总监谭元元、中国顶尖艺术家，包括编剧罗周、编舞家Edward Liang，音乐家许忠及设计师高广健。
此次演出也是即将到来的12月初庆祝中澳建交50周年系列活动之一，并将于明年下半年在澳大利亚的几大主要城市巡演。今年同期还将举行与昆士兰芭蕾舞剧院签约仪式、大师班等活动。
此次首演恰逢进博会期间，澳大利亚商会-上海将会在首演当天在上海大剧院举办进博会同期第二届中澳快消产品展示会。
