AustCham Shanghai is led by a team at the Secretariat who look after the day-to-day operations of the Chamber. The Chamber has 4 departments across Membership, Events and Communications, Business Engagement and Finance and Administration.
Executive Director and General Manager
Bede Payne is the Executive Director and General Manager of the Australian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (AustCham Shanghai). He leads a diverse, international team to strengthen Australia-China business, government and community relationships.
Bede has spent the past five years living, studying, and working in China. He is driven by the need to help Australians better understand China and to encourage the development of lasting international people-to-people relationships. He believes that our global collective interests are served through sustainable Australia-China trade and investment.
Bede draws on diverse professional and educational experiences in his approach to business, management, and Sino-Australian relations. He is an experienced leader who has worked across trade & investment, infrastructure, advocacy, and government sectors. He holds a Masters Degree in Arts (China Studies) from Liverpool University, UK and Bachelor Degrees in Commerce and Creative Arts from Wollongong University, Australia.
Finance Manager
Judy Shen supports financial matters and general office administration tasks. Previous to joining AustCham Shanghai, Judy was a project assistant for a local shipping company. Judy has a maritime law degree from Shanghai Maritime University.

Senior Relationship Manager
Mike Cheung is a Senior Relationship Manager at AustCham Shanghai and works with members to further their business interests by ensuring they have access to all the networking, support, advocacy and services that the Chamber provides.
Mike is responsible for working with members of the food and beverage and education industries. Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Mike was undertaking a Bachelor of International Relations and International Security at the Australian National University.
Relationship Manager
Eric is the Relationship Manager at AustCham Shanghai and works with members to promote their business interests by ensuring they have access to all the network, support, advocacy and services that the Chamber offers.
Throughout his diverse career, Eric has had opportunities to work with a wide range of organizations, including corporate banking, international trade, livestock and boxed meat exports, agricultural investment financial advisory services, and online & offline retail. Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Eric worked as the China Operation Manager of one of Australia's largest tree nut company. Eric holds a Bachelor degree of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
Relationship Manager
Fiona Wu is the Relationship Manager at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Fiona works with members to provide benefits such as business connection, market updates and networking opportunities.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Fiona worked as an account manager in a PR agency in Shanghai. She holds a Bachelor of Science in hospitality management from University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Relationship Associate
Miley Yin is a Relationship Associate at AustCham Shanghai and works with members to further their business interests. Miley is responsible for the admin support tasks of the membership team which includes CMS and keeping in touch with all the members.
Miley holds a master degree of Arts in English (Education/TESOL) from University of Southampton.
Projects Manager
Ruby Yu is the Projects Manager at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Ruby works closely with the Senior Business Engagement Manager to coordinate business delegations and key projects and arranges professional development training programs. As a member of the newest department of the Chamber, Ruby is also involved in event management and the China HQ Program.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Ruby worked as Senior Consultant for top study-abroad agencies in Shanghai. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (Education) from Shanghai International Studies University.

Marketing and Communication Manager
Leaf Ye is the Marketing and Communication Manager at AustCham Shanghai, managing the corporate and digital profile of the Chamber. She is responsible for the marketing and communication of AustCham Shanghai and its member network.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Leaf has worked with foreign government agencies as well as a global events company. Leaf holds a Bachelor of Computer Graphic Design with Honors from the University of Waikato.
Finance and Admin Assistant
Louisa Liu supports financial matters and general office administration tasks. Previous to joining AustCham Shanghai, Louisa was a project assistant for a business consulting company. Louisa graduated from the East China Institute of Technology
