Training: Design Thinking: From Ideas to Action (EN)

Why and what?

From Ideas to Action will show you how to generate creative ideas and bring those ideas to life, so that others can experience your vision of the future. In this course you will learn and practice three skills for moving from ideas to action:

  • The Art of Ideating: Go beyond brainstorming and learn techniques for coming up with innovative ideas
  • Rapid Prototyping: Make your ideas tangible, so you can gather feedback from others
  • Iterating Your Way Forward: Get results faster by evolving your idea to be more desirable, feasible, and viable

How?

  • A flexible skill set that will help you develop, prototype, and iterate on your ideas
  • A course toolkit (Hand Book) that captures the lessons of the course for you to apply long after it closes
  • Completed work that you can share with others
  • A network of peers that spans across industries and functions
  • Watch and reflect: Deepen your understanding through course videos and discussions
  • Practice : Apply what you learn to activities and assignments
  • Create (you decide): Generate ideas and develop a prototype by applying course lessons to a project challenge

Trainer: Andy Wong

Andy holds a Masters Degree from the University of Chicago. His work experience over 25 years includes Multinational companies, Small Medium Enterprise; multinational and technological companies such as Ashland, Inc, Air Product & Chemicals, etc. Andy has assumed leadership roles such as Technical Manager, Business Unit Director, General Manager for a joint venture, and Learning and Development Director. He set up the first Ashland University in 2000, a leading master trainer/ facilitator when the Ashland Corporate University (ACU) started its operation in Greater China and Taiwan. He has trained and assessed more than 10,000 people from over 200 organizations in China. Andy is accredited with Master Trainer for Wiley Everything DiSC Accreditation programs, Facet5 Personality Assessments, HRO OD-TOOLS Fit-In & MQ Assessments, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, Belbin Team Role, MBTI, etc.

Cancellation Policy

Please note that if you need to cancel this booking we must receive your RSVP cancellation by email or fax no less than 48 hours in advance of an event, unless another specific cancellation date/time is notified in the event details. The Chamber will have to charge you full-price for the event if you do not cancel your attendance by the stated time. This is necessary to cover costs automatically incurred by AustCham Shanghai for events on registered attendees’ behalf.
