Australia’s close proximity to China, similar time-zones, longstanding relationship between the two countries, Australia’s top educational institutions and of course the beautiful environment are just a few of the reasons why the land down under is a top choice. Many students return to China shortly after their graduation and seek assistance in getting acclimated into the local work environment.
AustCham Shanghai will host presenters from Austrade, Lockin China and HAYS to learn more about the facts, trends and what both industry and educational institutions can do to help foster positive career outcomes for returning Chinese students.

Michael Clifton
Since December 2011, Michael Clifton has been Austrade’s Country Manager for China, and also serves as Senior Trade Commissioner in Beijing. Prior to this posting, Michael served as Senior Trade Commissioner and Consul-General in Osaka, Japan and in a range of Trade and Defence appointments in Hong Kong, Tokyo and the Middle East.
Simon Lance
Simon, Managing Director of Hays China, has over 14 years consulting and management experience within the professional recruitment industry in UK, Australia and China. Simon was appointed as Regional Director, China in January 2012 and is currently the managing director of China who has responsibility for the operational management and expansion of Hays offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou and Guangzhou.”
Crystal Kong
Crystal is the CEO Founder of Lockin China and has 10 years' study and work experience in North America. She joined the largest traditional HR service provider, initiated the very first overseas recruitment platform and pioneered a robust overseas recruitment service in China.

Cancellation Policy
Please note that if you need to cancel this booking we must receive your RSVP cancellation by email or fax no less than 48 hours in advance of an event, unless another specific cancellation date/time is notified in the event details. The Chamber will have to charge you full-price for the event if you do not cancel your attendance by the stated time. This is necessary to cover costs automatically incurred by AustCham Shanghai for events on registered attendees’ behalf.
Please note that if eligible for a refund, you will receive the full amount minus a 1% transaction fee.
