CEO and Executive Director
Udo Doring is the CEO and Executive Director of AustCham Shanghai. Udo leads a team of staff across four departments and drives the Chamber’s mission to strengthen Australia-China business, government and community relationships. Udo is an Executive Director of the AustCham Shanghai Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall management of the Chamber including financial and human resource management.
Udo was previously the General Manager of AustCham Shanghai. Prior to joining the Chamber, Udo worked in a number of roles in human resources consulting and with the Queensland Government. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Queensland University of Technology, and a Graduate Certificate of Chinese Law from Hong Kong City and Murdoch University.
General Manager
Jack Brady is the General Manager of AustCham Shanghai with responsibility for the membership, events and communications functions of the Chamber. In this position Jack oversees daily operations, major revenue generating activities, and is responsible for the Chamber’s human resources.
Immediately prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Jack worked in Sydney with government relations and corporate communications firm GRACosway as the National Research and Policy Manager. Jack holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) from The University of Sydney.
Executive Assistant to the CEO and Executive Director
Jane Xia is the Executive Assistant to the CEO and Executive Director. She handles the CEO appointments and assists with his daily tasks running the Chamber. Jane also manages IT and other special projects including the China MBA program and AustCham Shanghai member insurance program. She has a Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemical Engineering & Technology from Chengdu University of Technology.
Finance Manager
As Finance Manager at AustCham Shanghai Lily Sun supports the CEO and Executive Director with financial controls, HR activities, and the CSR program. She has been working for AustCham Shanghai since graduating from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
Finance and Administration Assistant
Judy Shen supports financial matters and general office administration tasks. Previous to joining AustCham Shanghai, Judy was a project assistant for a local shipping company. Judy has a maritime law degree from Shanghai Maritime University.

Senior Relationship Manager
Brett Wagner is the Senior Relationship Manager at AustCham Shanghai and works with a team of Relationship Managers to ensure that members are receiving maximum potential out of their membership. Brett is also responsible for keeping up to date with developments for both new and existing Australian businesses and organisations in the Chinese market; especially for both Training and Education and Manufacturing sectors.
Prior to AustCham Shanghai Brett worked in Retail and Project Management with Coles Group in Australia. Brett holds a Bachelor of International Relations (Business) from Bond University as well as four Mandarin Language Certificates from the Shanghai University of Foreign Trade.
Relationship Manager
Bede Payne is a Relationship Manager at AustCham Shanghai who works with members to ensure they are able to fully access and utilize the expertise, capabilities and services that the Chamber offers. Bede is responsible for working with members across various industry groups including financial services, legal, human resources, eCommerce and information technology.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Bede was a Senior Policy Adviser in the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet, advising the Premier on infrastructure, transport and major projects. Having also worked for various not-for-profit organisations, Bede has acquired extensive experience in advocacy, government relations and policy development. Bede holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Creative Arts from the University of Wollongong.
Relationship Associate
Rebecca is responsible for all membership administrative work, and assists the Relationship Managers to ensure good communication between the Chamber and its members.
Prior to working at AustCham Shanghai, Rebecca interned at L’Oreal and worked at China Daily part-time. Rebecca has a Bachelor Degree of Arts, with a major in English Translation from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.
Senior Business Engagement Manager
Wen Gu is the Senior Business Engagement Manager at AustCham Shanghai and is responsible for the newest department in the Chamber managing business representation, project management, delegations and professional development training.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Wen worked in the higher education sector through Navitas Professional Institute in Melbourne and also held the position of Legal Consultant at ShiMao Group in Shanghai. She holds a Bachelor of Law degree from DongHua University in Shanghai and Master in Communications and Media Studies degree from Monash University in Melbourne.
Business Engagement Manager
Ruby Yu is the Business Engagement Manager at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Ruby works closely with the Senior Business Engagement Manager to coordinate business delegations and key projects and arranges professional development training programs. As a member of the newest department of the Chamber, Ruby is also involved in event management and the China HQ Program.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Ruby worked as Senior Consultant for top study-abroad agencies in Shanghai. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English (Education) from Shanghai International Studies University.

Business Engagement Manager
At the AustCham Shanghai office, Wen Liu represents two Australian organisations – Food Leaders Australia (FLA) & Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise (TSBE) as the General Manager - Greater China. Wen’s role primarily provides strategic advice and local support to market ready Australian start-ups, introduction and vetting of in-market trade partners and debt and investment capital raising.
Wen holds a Master Degree in Strategic Public Relations from the University of Sydney, Graduate Diploma of Marketing Communications from the University of Canberra, and Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from LiaoNing Normal University, China. Wen has over 3 years of experience working with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in Canberra, Australia as a professional Mandarin tutor for Australian diplomats proceeding on post to Mainland China. Returning to China in 2012, Wen has trained diplomats at the Australian Embassy, Beijing for 2 years.
Business Engagement Manager
Selina is responsible for promoting Northern Territory Australia as a tourism destination in Greater China region. Prior to her current role, Selina was a Relationship Manager on the membership team.
Before the Chamber, she worked as a Research Manager with Gerson Lehrman Group, a financial consulting company headquartered in New York. Selina holds a double degree from Monash University, Bachelor of Business (Accounting) & Bachelor of Business (Banking & Finance).
Senior Marketing and Communications Manager
Sophia Moeller is the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager at AustCham Shanghai with responsibility for the communications, marketing and events functions of the Chamber. Sophia oversees the content curation of the Chamber including all communications and events, and is responsible for advertising and marketing opportunities for members.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai, Sophia worked for the University of Michigan in development and alumni relations. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Communications Manager
Mathilde Veyrat is the Communications Manager at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Mathilde assists the Senior Communications Manager to develop online and offline communication materials to promote the Chamber’s activities.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai Mathilde interned at Dezan Shira & Associates Shanghai as Marketing Assistant. She holds a Bachelor of Asia-Pacific Studies (Chinese) from the University of La Rochelle and a Master’s degree in Cross-cultural Management, Communications and Event planning from the International School of Translation and International Relations, Lyon.
Events Manager
Chenyu Ling is the Events Manager at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Chenyu works closely with other events team members to implement the Chamber’s events program.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai Chenyu worked in a number of events roles in Las Vegas and Beijing and has experience working with the Australia China Business Council in Melbourne. She holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Meetings and Events Management from the University of Nevada and a Master of Management (Marketing) from The University of Melbourne.
Events Associate
Holly Hong is an Events Associate at AustCham Shanghai. In this role, Holly works with the events team to deliver the Chamber’s varied events and manages the administration functions of this delivery.
Prior to joining AustCham Shanghai Holly assisted with HR and administrative functions at Aveo China. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Century College Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.
