Craig first came to China in 1992 on a Griffith University language scholarship and for the past 22 years has been leading Companies in the food, beverage and agriculture sectors in both Australia and China.
For the last ten years he has been the Chief Executive Officer in China and Vietnam for Australian agribusiness, Elders. During this period he transformed the Elders operations in China into a profitable foodservice distribution business, covering product segments such as beef, lamb, wine, beer, seafood and dairy.
In 2017, one of Australia’s most successful business leaders, Ms Gina Rinehart, asked Craig to establish global markets for her new major beef business, Hancock Agriculture. He was subsequently appointed as the President of Sales and Marketing. Based in Shanghai, he is tasked with setting the strategic marketing plan for the business and establishing sales channels in China, USA, Japan, Korea, South-East Asia, Australia and the Middle East.
Craig is a China professional with more than 15 years of living and working in China; his success as a small business owner has come from his hands on approach and relentless determination.
He understands the opportunities and challenges in China having worked in large MNC’s along with starting his own business.
His passion for real estate in Queensland has seen him win different awards for excellence in sales and marketing prior to China.
Craig has been involved with Rotary International where he held many different positions during his tenure along with Camp Quality in Queensland managing fund raising events.
Udo Doring is the CEO and Executive Director of AustCham Shanghai. Udo leads a team of staff across four departments and drives the Chamber’s mission to strengthen Australia-China business, government and community relationships. Udo is an Executive Director of the AustCham Shanghai Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall management of the Chamber including financial and human resource management.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Udo worked in a number of roles in human resources consulting and with the Queensland Government. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Queensland University of Technology, and a Graduate Certificate of Chinese Law from Hong Kong City and Murdoch University.
John has over 29 years of banking experience with National Australia Bank originally joining via the Graduate Program. He has broad industry experience covering retail, agribusiness, corporate, institutional relationship management, as well as Wholesale credit risk. His career in WA with NAB has spanned 16 years initially setting up and running the Agribusiness team.
Alan joined Qantas Airways in August 2015 as General Manager for China. His professional experience spans across the travel and aviation industries, having worked with Air Canada, Emirates Airlines and Qantas Airlines in Vancouver and Taipei for more than 6 years.
Alan holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Executive Management from the Royal Roads University (Canada).
June Q. Fu holds an MBA from Queen’s University at Kingston, Canada. She joined Westpac in July 2014 as General Manager, Shanghai Branch and Head of Multinational Corporations. Ms. Fu has over 20 years’ experience in corporate and commercial business, risk management, trade finance, banking operations and general management. She also served on the Board of Directors of The Canada China Business Council (“CCBC”) Beijing Chapter from 2001 to 2003, and the CCBC Shanghai Chapter from 2005 to 2006.
Paul has been in China since the 1990s focusing on cross border M&A for advisory firm Satori Investments, leading many large transactions for Chinese companies investing into Australia, and Australian companies raising capital in China. Paul has been KPMG Australia's lead presence in China. He also led the Australia China Business Council's engagement in China from 2008-2014, and was awarded Life Membership. He brings corporate boardroom experience, with years of China/Australia business engagement.
Susie established her career from triple-qualifications (Visual Merchandising, Business and Chinese). This resilient, tenacious and savvy minded Australian first came to China in 1991. She started Soozar 10 years ago and continues to self fund the company's organic expansion. Notwithstanding the successes of her business, Susan is a mother of 3 young children and is passionate about yoga and preventative medicine.
Simon has over 16 years consulting and managementexperience within the professional recruitment industry in UK, Australia andChina. After 8 years with Hays Australia, Simon transferred to Shanghai in 2012and currently the Managing Director for Hays’ operations across the GreaterChina region.
John is a distinguished hotelier with more than 30 years' experience. He was awarded the Magnolia Silver Prize in recognition for outstanding contribution to the local community by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government in 2010. He holds an MBA degree in Marketing and International Business from Bond University. As a Board Director, he welcomes the opportunity to contribute and strengthen Australia-China business relations.
Heather Smith is the General Manager of Shanghai United Family Healthcare. Heather has over 30 years’ health care experience and has a BSN, a MHA and a MPH. Heather is an American College of Healthcare Executives Fellow, a Fellow in The Australasian College of Health Management and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She serves on the leadership committee of the China Healthcare Executives Group.
