Craig first came to China in 1992 on a University language scholarship and for the past 22 years has been leading companies in the food, beverage and agriculture sectors in both Australia and China.
He is currently the Country Head for all business in China for Australian agribusiness, Elders, and also serves as the President of Elders Fine Foods, Asia-Pacific - a role that sees him sit on the Boards of related Elders companies in China and ASEAN markets.
He has served as a Director of the Board of Austcham Shanghai since 2012 and as Chair of the Food, Beverage &Agriculture Industry Committee since 2014. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a graduate of Griffith University with a degree in International Business. He also speaks and reads Chinese.
Craig is a China professional with more than 15 years of living and working in China; his success as a small business owner has come from his hands on approach and relentless determination.
He understands the opportunities and challenges in China having worked in large MNC’s along with starting his own business.
His passion for real estate in Queensland has seen him win different awards for excellence in sales and marketing prior to China.
Craig has been involved with Rotary International where he held many different positions during his tenure along with Camp Quality in Queensland managing fund raising events.
Bernie has more than 30 years with executive roles in Australia and Asia including directorships of internal company legal entities and external industry associations. Bernie served for 3 years as Chairman of the Australian Steel Institute which had board representation from a number of ASX listed companies. His career has included several sales, marketing, strategic and operation/manufacturing senior executive roles. Bernie has worked in China since February, 2011.
Udo Doring is the CEO and Executive Director of AustCham Shanghai. Udo leads a team of staff across four departments and drives the Chamber’s mission to strengthen Australia-China business, government and community relationships. Udo is an Executive Director of the AustCham Shanghai Board of Directors and is responsible for the overall management of the Chamber including financial and human resource management.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Udo worked in a number of roles in human resources consulting and with the Queensland Government. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Queensland University of Technology, and a Graduate Certificate of Chinese Law from Hong Kong City and Murdoch University.
Alan joined Qantas Airways in August 2015 as General Manager for China. His professional experience spans across the travel and aviation industries, having worked with Air Canada, Emirates Airlines and Qantas Airlines in Vancouver and Taipei for more than 6 years.
Alan holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Executive Management from the Royal Roads University (Canada).
June Q. Fu holds an MBA from Queen’s University at Kingston, Canada. She joined Westpac in July 2014 as General Manager, Shanghai Branch and Head of Multinational Corporations. Ms. Fu has over 20 years’ experience in corporate and commercial business, risk management, trade finance, banking operations and general management. She also served on the Board of Directors of The Canada China Business Council (“CCBC”) Beijing Chapter from 2001 to 2003, and the CCBC Shanghai Chapter from 2005 to 2006.
Kim was AustCham Shanghai’s Executive Director in 2010 and an elected Board Member in 2011/12. In 2012 Kim co-founded Soapnut Republic with her husband Bobby Mitchell, manufacturing and selling safe and natural cleaning products. Kim’s previous titles include: CEO Which Property China, Sales Director China Media Monitors and Media Manager ANZ Banking Group. An accomplished professional, Kim recognises the demands facing both Corporate and SMEs in China.
Paul has been in China since the 1990s focusing on cross border M&A for advisory firm Satori Investments, leading many large transactions for Chinese companies investing into Australia, and Australian companies raising capital in China. Paul has been KPMG Australia's lead presence in China. He also led the Australia China Business Council's engagement in China from 2008-2014, and was awarded Life Membership. He brings corporate boardroom experience, with years of China/Australia business engagement.
Susie established her career from triple-qualifications (Visual Merchandising, Business and Chinese). This resilient, tenacious and savvy minded Australian first came to China in 1991. She started Soozar 10 years ago and continues to self fund the company's organic expansion. Notwithstanding the successes of her business, Susan is a mother of 3 young children and is passionate about yoga and preventative medicine.
Simon has over 16 years consulting and management experience within the professional recruitment industry in UK, Australia and China. After 8 years with Hays Australia, Simon transferred to Shanghai in 2012, accepting responsibility for Hays’ operations in mainland China.
In his current role, Simon oversees ~180 staff across offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Suzhou & Guangzhou, and is a member of the Hays Asia operational Board. Simon is a graduate of the University of Western Australia (BSc), maintains a keen personal interest in sustainable development and is passionate about talent development and cross-cultural management.
John is a distinguished hotelier with more than 30 years' experience. He was awarded the Magnolia Silver Prize in recognition for outstanding contribution to the local community by the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government in 2010. He holds an MBA degree in Marketing and International Business from Bond University. As a Board Director, he welcomes the opportunity to contribute and strengthen Australia-China business relations.
