What a Wonderful Wizz
Bang Quiz Night!
The Four Seasons ballroom on May 14th was the scene for Xinxing
Aid for Street Kids' 2011 Wizz Bang Quiz Night fundraiser - a fun
filled night of games, prizes, auction, food, wine and of course,
challenging trivia!
Quizmaster Ned Kelly had everyone in a brain strain with his
tough questions (particularly that tricky music round)!
In between identifying Chinese provinces and elusive dog breeds,
guests also managed to get themselves in a twist with a couple of
competitive rounds of heads & tails!
In a very close finish, team Voodoo FC just managed to prevail
over team Diplomatic Immunity by a narrow margin of 2 points! They
won themselves an exclusive dinner for 10 with wine pairings at
Laris' 12 Chairs restaurant worth 1500RMB per person. 2nd place
prize was 10 yoga passes worth 1000RMB each at the Y+ Yoga Center.
3rd place went to team Tai Bang Le who won food & drink
vouchers for Kommune worth 500RMB each. Congratulations to the 1st,
2nd and 3rd place teams and thank you to our generous place prize
sponsors!

Artwork painted by children at Xinxing as part of their art
therapy was also on auction with the most popular piece hotly
contested between 2 bidders, finally going for 7000RMB!

Over 40,000RMB worth of raffle prizes were also won, including
much coveted hotel stays at URBN Hotel, Hotel Indigo, Hyatt on the
Bund and the Four Seasons. Congratulations to the lucky winners and
thank you to all our prize sponsors.
A big thank you also goes out to Event Sponsor and long-time
loyal Xinxing supporter, Bluescope Steel; Event Partners, Four
Seasons Hotel Shanghai and Everwines; as well as Quiz Round
Sponsors, Subway, Allied Pickfords, Still Chasing Rainbows, and the
great staff of the Australian Consulate General Shanghai.
All up 67,000RMB was raised for Baoji Xinxing Aid for Street
Kids, which will go a long way to helping provide support to street
children and disadvantaged kids in remote rural areas of Central
China. Xinxing is greatly appreciative of all the guests, sponsors,
volunteers and supporters involved who made this such a successful
event.
