SENIOR TRANSLATOR/ANALYST
Job Responsibilities:
- English/Chinese translation of materials including:
correspondence, studies, presentations, Web-Pages, etc. with high
professional quality
- Read through original material in English and rewriting it in
Chinese, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is
retained
- Be able to write high quality Chinese communication
- Provide translation and interpreting support accurately and
timely by providing high quality work under pressure in daily work
or business travel
- Interpret at business meeting
- Provide SI service in company organized conference, forum and
others events
- Prepare investment proposals in Resources, infrastructure,
power, industrial, financial and other sectors;
- Conduct Research and Assessments in mining, power, energy
sectors of China and other countries as well as basic
macro-economic work
- Maintenance of data flows and research inputs
- Show initiative generating business ideas and concepts
- Participate in negotiations if necessary
- Essential to have interpreting or translating experience in a
business context or setting
Key Requirements:
- Graduates of recognized translation school or university with
English major;
- Minimum of five years' relative working experience in private
equity, financial advisory firms, management consulting firms and
others top 500 enterprises of the world;
- Excellent at translation of business related documents with
good English/Chinese business writing and oral skills
- TEM 8 or Advanced interpreters' certification is required
- Relevant translation qualification and experience with
international firms is a plus
- Familiar with MS Office software and web-page searching
- Proactive, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility,
teamwork spirit
- Investment Banking background or Resources an advantage
- Outstanding Bi-lingual Skills
- Outstanding document presentation skills
