AustCham Shanghai currently has two vacancies available on its
Audit Sub-committee. Chaired by Board Director Seamus Cornelius,
the committee's responsibilities include:
* Overseeing AustCham Shanghai's financial reporting and
disclosure process
* Overseeing hiring, performance and independence of the external
auditors
* Overseeing regulatory compliance, ethics and integrity of
Secretariat and Board processes
* Monitoring the internal control process
* Overseeing the performance of the internal accounting
function
* Discussing risk and conflict management policies and practices
with the Board
Candidates should have experience in at least one of the following
areas: accounting, law, financial management or management
consulting.
The positions are voluntary and the committee generally meets
bimonthly.
