AustCham Shanghai Annual General Meeting 2009 - Call for Nominations to Stand for Election

Dear AustCham Shanghai Members,

Following is an important announcement regarding AGM 2009 and the call for nominations for the election of Board Directors to fill vacancies. A minimum of three (3) and a maximum of five (5) Director positions will become available at the AGM 2009.

Board Directors appointed by election at the AGM 2009 (not interim) will serve a two year term (2009-2011) unless retiring early.

AustCham Shanghai Corporate Membership Representatives will be sent Formal Notice of the AGM with attached documents including the Agenda, Annual Audit Report, finalised nominations slate for Board elections and other AGM details on Wednesday 3rd June 2009. Each Corporate/Voting Member Representative will be able to register to attend to vote, or to duly appoint Proxy attending to vote on his or her behalf at the AGM.

Interested and eligible candidates for election to the Board must be legally resident employees of an AustCham Shanghai Corporate Member Company, however they do not have to be the Corporate / Voting memeber of their AustCham Shanghai Corporate Member Company. If any candidate is not the corporate/voting member representative of an AustCham Shanghai Corporate Member Company then the Nomination Form will require that the responsible employing Corporate/Voting Member Representative formally proposes OR seconds OR endorses the proposed candidate's nomination as requested.
