  • To assist members of the group to understand the nature of the business environment in China and where relevant opportunities lie.
  • To share information regarding industry issues and developments in the regulation of small businesses
  • To facilitate co-operation with other foreign chambers of commerce and foreign businesses operating in China in relation to small business issues.
  • To present the views of small Australian businesses operating in Shanghai to government authorities and other business groups where appropriate.

Membership of Small Business Working Group

Membership is open to all corporate, non-resident and small business members of AustCham Shanghai. The SBWG is chaired by the member of the Executive Committee responsible for Small Businesses.

Events and Meetings

The Small Business Working Group meets on a monthly basis. Group members and guest speakers are invited to present to the group and there is also ample opportunity for discussion on topics of interest and relevance to the group.  The Group also holds bi-monthly or quarterly evening events on topics of broader interest that would be open to anyone (i.e. including non-members).
