Events at the Australian Pavilion are by invitation only. The most effective way to participate is to sponsor an event, become part of a trade mission or be invited by other sponsoring organisations. For more information, please click here.

Become an AustCham Shanghai member

AustCham Shanghai is often asked to provide contacts for invitations or guest speakers. AustCham Shanghai only recommend members so the most effective way to participate is to join now.

Join the AustCham Shanghai Expo Committee

A committee convened by AustCham Shanghai meets for a working breakfast or lunch whenever there are significant updates or announcements regarding Expo from the Commissioner General Australia, other Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) officials and Austrade.

Members were responsible for negotiating AustCham Shanghai's Memorandum of Understanding with DFAT regarding the Expo, and the AustCham Shanghai's official status as an Associate Partner of the Australian Pavilion.

Get involved in other events in Shanghai and China

AustCham Shanghai's year-round program will continue throughout the Expo period. Outside the Australian Pavilion, AustCham Shanghai will continue its year-round program of events including: industry-focused workshops and forums, regulatory briefings, community outreach projects, the iconic Great Australian Ball in September and weekly Aussie Drinks.  Member and non-member participation is welcome for most events, and AustCham Shanghai looks forward to welcoming numerous delegations from Australia and other visitors during the Expo period.

For businesses interested in participating in a trade fair, Australia is guest country of honour at the China International Small and Medium Enterprise Fair to be held in Guangzhou from 15-18 September 2010. AustCham Shanghai will host a delegation to China's largest fair for SMEs. In 2009, 3,935 exhibitors and 254,600 visitors participated and sales of A$20.6 billion were achieved.
