2018 Hays Asia Diversity & Inclusion report

#

During March and April 2018, Hays surveyed 900+ working professionals from key employment markets across Asia to understand how well their organisation manages Diversity & Inclusion.

The case for establishing a truly diverse workforce, at all organisational levels, grows more compelling each year. The moral argument is weighty enough; the business case is almost unanswerable. But what is the state of play in business in Asia when it comes to diversity?

There are encouraging signs of progress, but the overall picture tells a story of a long road to travel and a journey just begun.

On the positive side, fewer employees now have a male boss. Still over half of respondents, 58%, report to a male; but this is down from 63% last year and 67% two years ago. This relatively rapid progress is heartening.
