IIT Update: China’s Individual Income Tax Reform
In 2018, China continued it’s pursuit towards a significant
transformation of its tax system. In prior years, we have seen significant
reform of the corporate tax system and the introduction of VAT. This year, a
significant overhaul of the individual income tax system has been introduced.
Join Director Tiffany Lu and Senior Manager, Eve Yu of Deloitte China as they provide an overview of the developments and changes in China tax law in 2018 and provide a forecast for the year ahead with a focus on the impacts to individuals and organisations, operating in China.

Tiffany has a Master’s degree in Law from Xiamen University, an International MBA degree from Hong Kong University and holds a PRC lawyer Certificate.
Senior Manager, Global Employer Services
Eve Yu is a Senior Tax Manager with more than 15 years' experience in the Global Employer Services Team, Tax and Business Advisory Services Department (GES). GEM is dedicated to supporting organisations in tackling global mobility challenges in China and beyond, covering everything from HR policy design, tax planning and compliance, through to visa and immigration support.
Eve specializes in PRC individual income tax compliance and consulting services, such as expatriate tax compliance and planning, cross-border compensation and benefits structuring and equity based incentive planning, etc.
Eve is a member of the China Institute of Certified Tax Agents (CICTA).
