China is Australia’s most important trading partner and the most dynamic market to do business in the world. It is also the most exciting place for sport right now as it grapples with a rising middle class and a push to a consumption-led economy. The focus on sport is being led top down from the Chinese Government and has been earmarked as the nation's next big industry for the decades ahead.

The Chinese sports industry has the opportunity to grow new links with a country that punches above its weight when it comes to sport, both on and off the field. Australia has some of the best players, teams, codes, intellectual property, and expertise that has been built up from a culture in love with sport.

The inaugural Australia-China Sports Summit will return for it's third year in 2019. This year's Summit will be a full-day forum on Thursday, 30 May with an exclusive tour and briefing at Jiangwan Stadium with the AFL, followed by an afternoon of industry insights at the Sukhothai Hotel, Shanghai.
