The Chair of AustCham Shanghai,

Tuesday night. The Commissioner General of Australia, Shanghai

makes Australian businesses successful in China and how AustCham
Shanghai and other organisations can support businesses to maximise
their potential. A mix of people from different industries and
companies including ANZ, CBA, GM, Hooker Cockram, Angliss
Consulting and Golder Associates contributed to the discussion. The
roundtable was followed by the first ever "behind the scenes" tour
of the pavilion to view the technology and engineering deployed to
drive the spectacular audio visual display.
As part of the evening AustCham Shanghai Chair David Keir presented
statistics on Australian business in China and discussed some of
the challenges and success factors for small and large Australian
companies. Discussions concluded that Australian businesses and
executives in the financial, architecture, automotive and food and
beverage sectors are leading the way in sound commercial processes
