URBN Hotels & Resorts were thrilled to win at the Sustainable
Development Award at the Australia-China Business Awards in Hong
Kong two years ago. "The Awards helped us to meet other like-minded
businesses and inspire us to do even more for the environment,"
said URBN's Victoria Hajjar. "Since winning the Award we have
partnered with local companies to spread the word about
environmental issues. We aim to keep teaching and learning from
others to strengthen our message and our scope."

all finalists and winners will be able to raise their profile with
industry peers, the media, government and business leaders at a
Media Conference (19/10) at the Australia pavilion and the Gala
Awards Ceremony (11/11) to be held for the first time in Shanghai.
This year finalists and winners will have their logo featured on an
Australia Network promotion, beamed across 44 countries in the Asia
Pacific region.

Have you
considered expanding your business to Mongolia?
|
|
| |

|
Mongolia is one of the last frontier markets with major resource
deposits of coal, copper, molybdenum, fluorspar, tin, tungsten,
uranium and gold. To date only 15 per cent of the country has been
geologically surveyed, so there are immense possibilities. AustCham
Shanghai members are invited to join with Austrade to explore these
Mongolian opportunities during an intensive trade mission. The
four-day Mission leaving on 7 August will be a crash course in
market opportunities, the trading environment and cultural
differences particularly related to mining investment and
development and related industries.
Australian Ambassador to South Korea Sam Gerovich is expected to
attend the Mission as is Laurie Smith, Austrade Regional Director
for North East Asia. There will also be opportunities to network
with key Mongolian officials.
For more information click
here or apply online at
www.austrade.gov.au/mongoliamining by 6 August.
