Aussie Drinks and
Australia Day Family BBQ Sponsorship Opportunities
|
|
 |
AustCham Shanghai seeks sponsors
for the AustCham Shanghai Aussie Drinks and Australia Day Family
BBQ to support our community outreach program in 2011.
The weekly Aussie Drinks Central event will kick off on Friday
7th January 2011 at the Camel Sports Bar and the event will move to
the O'Malley's Bar and Restaurant from Friday 6th May onwards.
The Australia Day Family BBQ is an AustCham Shanghai tradition
which brings families and friends together to celebrate in the
Aussie way. In 2011, we are celebrating Australia Day in the
O'Malley's Bar and Restaurant on Saturday 22nd January. Put the
date in your dairy now.
AustCham Shanghai members have the opportunity to sponsor the
day and showcase their business or product to the Australian export
and business community. The events allow our members and guests key
networking prospects and also the opportunity to support the
fundraising efforts which benefit key charities and foundations in
China. In return, AustCham Shanghai will provide extensive brand
exposure on marketing collateral prior to the event, onsite
acknowledgement and recognition after the event.
For more information about the sponsorship opportunities, please
contact Carol Gong, the Events and Sponsorship Manager at 86 21

Group of
Eight Universities Sign MOU with China's top Universities
|
 |
The Group of Eight (Go8) top Australian Universities including
AustCham Shanghai members the Universities of Western Australia,
Monash, Australian National, Adelaide, Melbourne, New South Wales,
Queensland and Sydney have signed an historic memorandum of
understanding with the China 9 research Universities. The China 9
includes some of China's leading research intensive Universities,
which have been selected by the Chinese Government to receive
intensive funding for investment in world class research
infrastructure and staff, and they are the first choice for the
very best Chinese school leavers.
The Chinese Government is investing in universities on a massive
scale to bring China to the forefront of global research,
innovation and knowledge. The China 9 will play an important role
in the emergence of a world leading higher education system, but
their efforts are only a part of a bigger funding and development
push.
At the undergraduate level, the Go8's MoU effectively extends
the China 9's student exchange program to Go8 universities.
Australian students will be able to spend a semester at an elite
Chinese university and receive full credit towards their degrees
and vice versa. At the doctoral and post-doctoral level, the MoU
creates exciting new opportunities for exchange, collaboration and
linkages.
