Community Outreach Update
- Thanks to AustCham Shanghai supporters from Shanghai Sunrise
Students
|
|
 |
AustCham Shanghai as part of its
dedicated community outreach program donated RMB196,000 to the
Shanghai Sunrise charity organisation earlier this year. Since
then, AustCham Shanghai has been receiving thank you letters from
underprivileged students supported by Shanghai Sunrise.
The students are extremely grateful for the help from AustCham
Shanghai and its members. The letters covey the great efforts they
are making in their studies and getting involved in the community.
One of the students Zhu Liangxiao from Baoshan District of Shanghai
now studies at Tianjin Medical University and has been a very
active volunteer for White Cane Safety Day, the Yushu Earthquake
Appeal, International Day of Tolerance and World Forest Day.
Zhe Liangxiao said:
"I really feel grateful of your help, and the thanking cannot
be expressed in words."
Other thanks include:
"Thanks so much for the scholarship. Now I don't have to worry
about anything other than studying!"
- Shen Jian
"I will study as hard as possible and show a bright future
to all of you who have been helping me."
- Peng Jialing
Thank you to all members and the Australian community who have
participated in AustCham Shanghai fundraising activities.
